its going to stay but its going to come off over time unless you give it a clear coat. even then, paint is going to come off eventually when your scraping off wax. long story short, yes spray paint works. spray your work down with the clear coat and then you should be all set to go. good luck!

It'll come off in no time at all, unless you get some resin and coat the board.

So gently rub down the top coat of resin with wet n' dry, spray on your design and then put on a thin coat of fairly runny resin, and let it dry for a day or so before using the board :D

I did a board with rattle cans for art class- its a non-surfed board that I borrowed from an ice-cream shop, but I just sprayed it, and put a bunch of coats, sanding between, of clear acrylic spray. but if it was mine, and I was gonna surf it, then I think I would do a hot coat on top it.

It'd be sweet if you could get a hold of an air brush. post pics when you're done.

Yes you can spray normal spray paint on, and you get a clear type spraypaint that acts as a sealant. I cant remember the name of the stuff, but put some research in, or ask your local DIY store
