big logos on board-top or flop ?

Postby tigger » Sat Mar 04, 2006 10:23 am

Hey, what do you think about big logos on your board: do you like it, or hate it...In my opinion logos seems to become too important, the ride on a wave should be in front and not which firm makes your board, if you look on a pic, the first thing what you see is the logo of the brand which you use.Do you think it's ok. that the firms become so in front ?

feedback wanted .....

to be honest - if I had designed/shaped a performance board, or one that people enjoyed riding/whatever... I'd want my name splashed all over it so more people would recognise my boards and buy them!

it's the same thing with clothes, alot have their brand posted on it, nike, adidas, and more. but i understand that if it gets too big, well thats a whole other thing. keep it small and i don't care, but make it big and i'll keep shopping.

The pics you see are of people who are sponsered and get paid more if the logo of there sponser shows up clear in pictures.

The manufactures logo on deck also serves the purpose of knowing were you want to position your self on the board when paddling (at least it helps me).

I wish.

Anyway, I was thinking, would there be a "mathematical" way to calculate your "sweetspot"? Something like 4/7?
