(isn't that the name of the site) Just keep pushing yourself....photos help u get better and analyze where u need to be on the wave & on your board. Making adjustments to your crouch, rail setting etc. etc. THESE THINGS can be learned from photos & people get STOKED on seeing these dope photos. The first one looks like a Niiiiice bottom turn. You are crankin that sucker into the pocket & the 3rd shot shows u have solid balance. I bet u keep shootin' w/ your photographer your shots will keep getting sicker!!!

That last wave looks really fun...It's not double over head or anything, but the "Hollowness" of it looks super powerful for it's size

Thanks man! All of those photos are of a beach in England called Southbourne. Not many people surf there... not because it's secret, but because it's pretty crap most of the time!

As for the photographer and his equipment, he's one of my friends who comes down with us to kayak or walk while we're surfing. We're all in the Navy, and we get Wednesday afternoon off for sport, so we all just jump into the car, and head down to the beach, hoping there are waves. The camera he uses is just a standard digital camera... I'm not sure of the type, but I'm sure it's just a normal one.

SICK EL TIMMO.... my girlfriend used a digital camera (3.5 mega pixels I think) for mine & stood @ the waters edge.....but mine are not as clear as yours.

im sure there's surf down there along those rocks. so i figured this is a surf pic. i dont understand why you guys are so into surf pics. this is a surf forum, but i tried a general photography post a while ago that went nowhere. most of my stuff (most of my my best stuff) are portriats and such. does anyone know a photography forum with these types of boards?

That picture (and the ones about to follow) were taken with a £5 kodak disposable waterproof camera! about 50 - 100 meters offshore.

As for the location? I'll let you guess... It'll take the experienced UK surfers 2 seconds to tell you. I hope.

Here's some more.

The first one, I was trying to take a picture of my mate garath, I missed the shot, looked forward and saw a wave. Thought "ooo... pretty!" took the photo, 2 seconds later, reality (and a big wave) knocked me off my board.

Thank god for the wrist strap attached to the camera.

a guy who surfs- theres a problem with photographing people on waves. one is that most breaks are reef breaks, meaning it breaks a good 200 yards out, as you can see here

if you look closely in the upper right, you can see the surfing dots


another thing is that most of the time if there are waves and i drive out there, i have my board, not my camera. i probably love photography much more than surfing, but when it comes to surfing, id rather surf it than photo it. i dont like to bring my camera when i surf because cars get broken into much too often, and mine is worth about $$400.

plus i dont have a girlfriend to photo me. i got rid of her because she didnt like nature and wouldnt have photographed me if i asked. that and she was cheating on me.
