Im telling you guys, the gatorade bottle full of hot water works the best. And yeah putting on a wet wetsuit has to be one of the worst things. Also those comments about surfing with no wesuit in 56 degree water dont make any sense. Even if you go in, you cant be in there for that long. How long of periods of time are you surfing with no wetsuit in the winter??

That's a good point. I only use the warm water before I get in....actually I wash it in the shower after as well. And that water is probably warm too. So yeah, Ill have to see if the suit holds up. Its doing fine so far. Nobody told me that I couldnt wash my suit in warm water.

Here's some advice from Quick (they might know what they r talkin' bout)

Caring and storage of wetsuits:

Dan Somsack of Quiksilver/Roxy in Huntington Beach, California says to get the most life out of your wetsuit, it's important to follow these steps.
1. Always rinse in fresh cool water after surfing
2. Hang on a wide plastic hanger to dry, out of direct sunlight (don't leave your suit in your car for prolonged periods either!)
3. Never put your suit in the washer or dryer. (if your suits starts to stink, you can buy wetsuit wash and wash it in your tub or with the hose)
4. To store your wetsuit for prolonged periods of time either hang in a cool dark place or fold (only one fold!) and place in a garment bag or such, and store in a cool dark place.

I've been washing my wetsuit in the shower for a few years now and its still holding up just fine!!

Don't think warm-hot water which your skin can stand would be an issue for the wetsuit, maybe boiling water though.

Cheers
