What surf board is good for me

All surfing hardware topics here. Boards, leashes, racks, wetsuits, boardies, surfgear, ding repair, wetsuit repair, surf wax...... you get the idea

What surf board is good for me

I am 5'5'' 130 lbs and im beginner surfer.. im spending a few months down in mexico and i wanna make sure i get myself the right board? Anyone got any advice for me?

check out some surf reports on where your gona be at, and well be able to help you better....someone on the forum might even be from the area... size/power of the surf is the main influence on the board next to skill level.

Rent a board from a local shop....they will give you the right board for your ability/area.

i hav a 7 5" softboard and its okay in the small stuff but wen it starts heatin up it can be a pain....gives a good ride though
