its a shortboard, and to be honest i could do with something a bit bigger like a funboard or something as the waves round here dont warrant a shortboard most of the time

If money was no object :sigh:

edit to say I now have a 7ft4 funboard - it rocks!

I'm 6 foot and prefer to ride a 9'6". Dependent on shape will ride boards between 6'1" to 7' than 9' up.

Fish's are generally on the smaller side of boards with reference to length... but yes better suited to smaller surf but not limiting.

A little over 6ft, and I ride...

A 7'4 funboard - sloppy conditions or real small waves
A 6'10 shortboard - clean and big-ish days
A 6'6 fish - small or gutless days, this one gets used a lot

Now I'm thinking of getting a short fat flier - maybe 6'1.

My boards seem to be getting more and more circular... maybe I should shape myself a 4ft disc? :D

I'm 6'2" and my board is 8'5". I need something with a bit of floatation to perfect my ability and not to sink under my weight, which is far too much at present.
Sorry for invading the shorthboarders forum bearing in mind that I certainly don't qualify, but we can all live in hope!!

I'm 5'7" and I ride a 6'6"
I've also got a 7'2" funboard, but it's just not for me. I hoping to trade it in for a fish sometime soon.

5'10" and riding a 6'3" flyer and love it. Looking into ordering a custom fish around 5'6" for summer too.
