East coast surfing

Postby prish1 » Thu Dec 22, 2005 2:30 pm

I am new to this forum but last winter I took up surfing and now am totally stoked on it. Folly Beach,SC has a pretty good surf scene especially for people like me still learning. It is good to see some East Coasters on this site.

Stop by anytime

Postby prish1 » Thu Dec 22, 2005 10:39 pm

Anyone who is in the area of Folly head down to the pier. If you get there before 8a.m. you don't have to pay to park in the lot, but if arrive later there is plenty of free parking along the road. You will find alot of the longboarders at the pier and the shortboards go to the washout. It is pretty laid back at either place with the pier being a little less crowed. Good vibe and everyone seems real friendly. Can't wait until Hurricane season 06. See you guys there.

I couldn't get a ride to a single hurricane swell this year. or really a ride to anything more than a wind swell :( so this season made me want to sell my thruster, think I will.
