i think that girls are dominatin the sport of surfing more know after the guys have had it 4 ages. The girls rock and there is so much talent out there, me and best m8 hope 2 be pros 1 day! dosen't help livin no where near a beach :cry:

Womens surfing is definatley becoming more 'mainstream' , but all you have to do to see it still has a long way to come is to look at the earnings of any women and male at top of their same sport and see the difference in size of said cash ! !

i have surfed with two pros who ride for roxy and they were really ripping.....beat all the blokes in the water hands down.

but then i guess if your a pro your usually gonna be better than the other people in the water unless they are pros themselves

lol but i was awsome to see Mary osbourne who is this typical californian girl paddle out into the line up of about 20-25 local men and just run rings around them....without getting her hair wet........serious kudos to her!

haha i wish. im not bad i just started at the end of the summer and i tried longboarding and i diddnt like it.so now im stuch winter surfing with my mini mal:P im good but defentially not pro:( hahah hopefully some day.. meanwhile il keep dreaming hahaha

haha i have a pic of me in the paper but im far far far from pro.. its not even me surfing the guy saw us surfing and it was in october i think and it was freezing rain:) hahaha( im in the middle)

chick surfers are to slow at drawing lines on the waves there turns are weaker andthey do not charge theway blokes do i am a pro JR an heaps of my mates are chicks they are cool to look at but as for there surfin lol get some balls

So you're a pro - so what? I don't think you can make sweeping generalisations like you did - I bet there are plenty of girls out there that can rip it harder and faster than you mate!!

It's true that men TEND to be more powerful than women, but I wouldn't believe for a second that that means ALL women are weaker than me!

While you're out there working your ass off to make the CT and ripping it up - there's a girl somewhere carving big slow turns but you're both having just as much FUN, which is what it's all about!

yup women are definatly amazing in the world of surfing and i admire the pros. its a sport for both sexes and us girls can do just as well as the guys but to the person who started this covo that is a poo chat up line for the girls!

i think all round the blokes have more potentialthan the girls but the chicks surf more for the fun of it i think so their not trying all these moves. havins said that some girls flat out rip! main thing is to have a blast
