andaman islands surf yacht charter

Postby skyhooked » Sun Dec 11, 2005 12:33 pm

hi crew

i have a 60ft yacht here in thailand, phuket, ready to sail out to the andaman and similan islands in the indian ocean

i am sailing to find uncrowded, new, surfing and kitesurfing spots this winter

i am looking for a crew of surfers / kitersurfers / divers to come along and chip in with the costs

$50 us dollars a day gets you a space on the yacht (she is 60ft with a very wide beam and very comfortable at sea) plus three sqaure meals thanks to the chef

we have a tender so can drop surfers of right at the reefs

i will be here in the phuket thailand area all winter, so if you are out this way or looking for a once in a lifetime budget surf trip, then give me a mail at

<edit>no commercial advertising - see tos</edit>

see you out here!

The thread is almost 3 years old now so I don't think he's around, but I take back the comment I said. The Andamans have some awesome surf, I've heard from a few friends that have been there that it is pretty similar to Indo.
The problem is, however, that I don't think any boats run from Phuket to the Andamans unless you book them for yourself (which is erxpensive)

To get there you have to take a ferry from India I believe.

hey,
I'm a Australian living in goa and I'm on my way to the andamans for a little surfing adventure.
Would love to help out on your yacht.
I've got my own yacht at home so might be of some help on yours.
$50 bucks a day is a bit too much for me though.
maybe i could wash dishes instead.
I'll be arriving on the 3rd march and leaving on the 31st.
What do you think?????

Hey all,

My partner and I are in Port Blair on 18-mar for couple of days and approx 25-31mar.

We're both novice surfers, but looking for random boat charter to just chill and snorkel, fish and get some surfing done.

It would be great to hook up, get some value and get some surfing in.

If anyone else has tips on places/providers/prices etc - all gratefully received.

Cheers
Maal
