daylight savings time? (pretty random)

Postby tomcat360 » Tue Nov 15, 2005 10:41 pm

i know this is really random, but its general chat and i was curious

i know that we've got a lotta people on here from all over the world. around here weve got "daylight savings time" which im sure most of yall have heard of but im sure there are some people that havent heard of the nonsense

we move our clocks an hour forward in the spring time, and in the fall we take them back one hour.

so bascially, it was dark here at 6:30ish, but now its like 5:15 and its dark.

there are places in the US that does it, others that dont. i know that there are some places that have one side of a town that does it and the other doesnt.

why?? who else puts up with this?

Just to get confusing.....when i moved to New Zealand from England in July there was 11 hours difference between here (NZ) and the UK, then because its winter in the UK the clocks went back, making it 12 hours difference since then the clocks in New Zealand have gone forward because its summer here so now there's 13 hours difference.

Sorry, totally pointless post since it doesnt help answer your question, just thought i would share my mutual confusion 8)
