inspired in laguna beach CA,live in NJ moving to FL

Hello I'm new here and I never surfed before but want to learn. I live in new jersey but my aunt lives in Laguna Beach Cali wich is where I was inspired. I am moving to orlando florida soon and I was wondering there is anyone around there who knows any spots thanks

i live in fort lauderdale which is like a 2 or 3 hour drive away...orlando isnt blocked by the bahamas i think so you should get pretty good waves, at least better than where i am. any spot on the beach would do

where in ft lauderdale is decent to surf? im going down there in about a week or two (jan 10th?) n im a beginner.. not lookin for anything awesome. wheres a decent spot?
