“New” boards for me

Postby Geezer » Fri Mar 11, 2022 1:46 am

Just picked up a couple boards on the COVID depressed local used market in the past week. 7’ black beauty step up for the upcoming season and a 6’8” egg scorpion-esque board (hand shaped in Australia by a guy named Ross Rutherford whom I’d never heard of before but after googling seems like an interesting character) that looked like potentially a lot of fun. Step up is 7x20 3/4x 3” at 44L and the egg is 6’8”x 201/2 x 27/8” with fairly refined rails so probably around the same or a bit less volume. My current weight is 90kg.
Small waves today so will try out the egg in a couple hours. Set it up as a 2+1 with 3.25 sidebites and a 6.5” center fin but have a set of twin fins and a 2.5” center trailer in the car.
