Accidentally ordered a SUP leash

Will an SUP leash work on a longboard? I accidentally ordered this SUP one. I assume it doesn't handle the recoil as well as a regular surfboard leash but just checking....

Won‘t be a problem, might even have best shock stretching qualities for the heavier SUP board.

I ordered SUP leash for my between sizes funboard and it seems very durable compared to some leashes. I also ordered big wave leashes they seem fine too. I like the leash to be longer than the board and durable.
