SoCal surf's up

Postby BaNZ » Wed Oct 07, 2020 6:53 pm

Going to start posting videos of my surf adventures in SoCal.

Surf spot in Encinitas. I surfed in the morning as it was much better but crowded.

Video was taken in the afternoon and the wind started to pickup.

SanO.

Fun day out. Wasn't too crowded and plenty of waves for everyone.

SanO from yesterday.

It looked really good onshore but once I got in the water. It was really hard to catch it and have a good ride. It looks like it had descent size but whenever I catch it, it just crumbles and disappear in the inside. It was on low tide and on the way back I rode my board too close to the shore. I scraped my knees on the reef.

You scored! This would be ultra-low-crowd condition in NorCal :D

It's kinda like this every day since I moved here 3 months ago. Crowd is getting better as the weather gets colder but the waves is perfect every day. Sometimes my wife ask, is it ever gonna be bad so we can do something else apart from going to the beach every other day?!?

Cardiff reef. I did not surf this day due to poor conditions and having to babysit.

San Onofre today. The kooks are out and nearly everything is party wave. I surfed for about two hours and got tired of the blind surfers. Saying that, I also blocked others too as I was too focus on looking down the line. Overall I still caught a couple of perfect long waves.

Haven't done a video in Cali in a while, but here's a fun one at Sunset Cliffs

This look super awesome. How is there so little people? It's also been very flat in Cardiff/Swami for the last 2-3 weeks.... How are you getting these good waves.
