This is a original Hap Jacobs “422”.

Kind of looks like a Tyler “Riddler” model doesn’t it ? Yup, because this is what it was based off of.

Notice the cut ins at the back ?

But look at the cool step tail !

Notice the tear drop concave’s point is in the front and round part at the back ( opposite of most noserider like the In-the-Pink

And check out that fin hanging off the back. ( the fin might have more volume than most shortboards )

This is one board that as the saying goes “ if you can’t noseride this, you can’t noseride “.

Hap Jacobs only just retired as a shaper - at 88

thats a really interesting board. Maybe Meyerhoffer got some inspiration? But that fin, mmmm. The tip is actually past the tail, not sure I've ever seen that before.

The weight of the fin offsets the weight of the rider. :lol: I imagine it would take a serious effort to cutback.
