How do this guy paddle?

A lot of the "Uncles" look like that in Waikiki. They actually use their belly to rock back and forth and it's helps them to pop up.

Once he gets his mass going there is a lot of inertia keeping him going. When he wants to turn he has a lot of weight to put into it.
So what is worse.... dying or regretting it for the rest of my life? Obviously I chose not regretting it.
