Tell me about all your favorite spot up her in the northern country. I ride a long board and am not a big wave guy.

Longboard NorCal

Postby surfnerd » Mon Feb 20, 2006 10:05 pm

I'm from the area and there are a bunch of spots in the Half Moon Bay area. I would check out http://www.wannasurf.com/spot/North_Ame ... index.html

There is a simple break down of the major spots to surf. The common spots are going to be Linda Mar which is in Pacifica just off highway one..you will see a huge Taco Bell right on the beach. Further south you have Montara which is hard to miss and then you have the Jetty or Half Moon Bay harbor. From the Jetty you can actually see Mavericks on a clear day. Now from there you have about 5-6 other spots that aren't as obvious from the highway but I would suggest just looking for a road that has coastal access, park and hoof it.

Hope that helps...

Hi Shaker
I really recommend Lofoten, Norway if you want to go far up north.
It is could, but in summer the sun never goes down, so you can surf 24/7, it is amazing!
(I am swedish so the cold dont bother me too much, and I guess you english guys are the same)
