How bad is this rail ding?

Postby ConcreteVitamin » Sat Sep 14, 2019 5:04 pm

Some guy dropped in on me :( I only realized there is a ding after getting up.

Currently I am having the board lie against wall, the ding facing down, trying to dry it out.

What kind of board is that? Looks like some kind of multilayered thing? If it's into the foam it is a bad ding.
So what is worse.... dying or regretting it for the rest of my life? Obviously I chose not regretting it.

Hmm...just a standard PU board, 6+4oz top, 6oz bottom glassing? It could also be this is from a previous repair. I don't remember whether the previous repair was on the left or right rail

It’s really bad because:
1) it’s on a controlling edge
2) the foam most likely is compressed
3) the fiberglass is lifted
4) the resin is pigment colored and hard to match.
