Hey guys
I have had this beautiful balsa longboard for around 5 years now. It came to me 2nd hand but it doesn't seem that old, certainly less than 20 years???? Now that I'm 50 I am using my lighter longboards and looking to sell this one. I have no idea though where it was born. I have heard that it might be a french shaper....???? Any ideas?

What would be really helpful , is pictures of the full board! Fins and all will first help date it, and since this is an international forum, maybe where you are located the help narrow the search area!.

Its shape and fin set up echo late 60s balsa boards, condition is A1, rail shapes are 60s too ,the glass and resin leash loop also is a later addition.
I would not be selling it except to,a good buyer more research needed before valuation.
Me, I would clean the wax off and see if there are any more identifying marks. Great display board.

Thanks. There are a few tiny dings, as I use this board regularly. These will polish out. Otherwise it is as good as the day it was shaped. I know that it is rare but can't bring myself to hang a board on the wall. Just cleaning wax off today but i know that theonly other marks are the dimensions.

Balsa warning , if you are using the board, always make sure scratches and dings are fully water tight.
Balsa sucks water in rapidly by cellular action. If left the water sweats out under the glass causing major delamination.
