So if you like the way your current grovelor rides, but it feels "long", why don't you get the same board in just a few inch or two shorter length ?
Instead of us recommending a board, which may not be available in your area of the world, why don't you list boards you think you'd like and then we can give our input.

Yes, that probably works better! I'm currently thinking about getting the CI podmod, the ultra Joe, seaside, go fish and baked patato. All between 32-34 liters. Thanks in advance

Good to see you around IB!

Sorry to bring back an old post but I started cracking up when I read this. I have an entirely new quiver since last time I posted, but yes I do own 8 boards for my pad here and 5 more down in baja. What can I say, it's like purses for women...

And I moved out of IB, might have to come up with a new handle

Baja Malibu Vice Squad

What breaks do you surf in Baja? I was there in January for the first time and poked around K38, La Mision and San Miguel.

I have a pad at Mushrooms, it's great on a South swell. k38 is about 2 miles from me, also great on a south but can catch year round, Teresitas is right next to it, it gets hollow but over boulders but a fun break. k55 and La Fonda are also great spots. I dig San Miguel, but it requires a strong NW swell.

I tend to shy away from big crowds, so only do k38 on weekdays and even go to the power plant to surf in Rosarito since it gets hollow there. I'm down there almost every weekend, fun times!

I'd say get the podmod. I think the ultra joe is more of a shortboard, the seaside is cool, the go fish is way to low volume (super slim foiled out tail) and the baked potato is a groveler.
I almost got a podmod, it's a tried and true board design. It's the CI version of the Lost Round Nose Fish basically. Here's a really good review of the podmod. I decided to get the California Twin, and I love it! The second link is for the Cali Twin if you're curious.
