im in the middle of planning my gap year (around surfing of course) and was wondering does anyone actually come to britain to surf.....?

i just think that so many other places are more appealing, why would people come to britian?

id rather live in london than hawaii. not to surf though. but if surfing is your whole life then move to molokai in hawaii. i guess you wouldnt catch my sarcasm unless youre from hawaii. molokai has got to be one of the boringest most isolated places on earth.

chips'n curry

beer and sex and chips and gravy (it's all a macclad wants).

..it does sound interesting to surf in England though...apart from having to get a wetsuit...

England may not be the best place in the world for surfing, but surfing against a backdrop of awesome coastline that's a different matter.

Also if you expand it to Great Britain & Ireland, then you have a choice of some truly world class spots.

Also, if you want some serious history in your gap year, then England is a fascinating place to visit!!

Wow, got all serious there for a minute - sorry everyone!!

I would rather go to the UK than hawaii, thats because I love your wilderness, coastline and of course your fleshin' tasty tea... (And your breakfasts... seriously, I love how your breakfasts consist of triangle potatoe things, beans, eggs and toast. Mmmmmmmmmm...)

Hint: The best hangover cure is to drink at least 1 glass of water before passing out... try it, it works.

I never had the balls to try black pudding while visiting the UK...

Those little triangles of joy do rock though...

My best hangover cure:

- At least a pint of water before collapsing.
- A full english breakfast at the Fistral Chef in Newquay, inc heavily sugared tea.
- Straight out into the sea for a session.

It's the only way to fly!!

My hangover cure...

1) Lay in bed feeling like death for hours,
2) Goto (1) until human,
3) attempt to stand/shower/eat,if world or stomach is wobbly go back to (1)
4) Attempt something constructive, perhaps even surfing.
5) Give up, return to (1).

 :?

Im good at hangovers
So I really try (with varying levels of success) to avoid them! :D
