Show me your craziest fin

Postby waikikikichan » Thu May 02, 2019 9:40 pm

Show me your most craziest fin in your personal collection ( not ones you find on the internet ). There’s some weird ones out there just as it goes for surfboard designs themselves.
Here’s my entry.

Haha that is probably made for nose riding? I have no weird fins. No time for experimentation.
So what is worse.... dying or regretting it for the rest of my life? Obviously I chose not regretting it.

I have this crazy idea for fins that act like mini hydrofoils to lift the board out of the water and reduce drag. This kind of looks like that.

do you feel it helps? do you need to be on the tail more because of the extra tail lift?

What do you think about a thruster setup where the fins are connected with "wings"?

I don't think there's an lift.

That design has been done before. I posted a photo of it a long time ago but can't find it now. It was yellow with more ribs. Big H said it looked like some chef's cutting tool.

I kind of entertain the idea of a foil system that is easy to use and safer than the current configuration.
