Rincon Classic 2019 -- It's on!

Our wonderful and spectacularly pleasant Rincon Classic is on this weekend after a long waiting period. The long wait occurred this year due to a problem we haven't faced in 10 years. The weather was too unpredictable, but everyone is relieved the Central Coast has received so much precipitation this Winter.

Funny thing, you may see on the event website. The date posted for Sunday, which is the competition finals day, is identified as 34 March!

The event was founded 40 years ago and is reserved for surfers that live in the Rincon region. Surfers are vetted by their telephone area codes and/or permanent residential address.

One fun thing that interests Mrs. Morini and Roxy Ridgeback is the three Malmsten sisters are competing against one another, as well as nine others, in the Wahines Under 17 yr category. Billie usually enjoys the Longboard, Womens' 18+, and Grand Masters. You never know who will show up in the Grand Masters. These year, Tony De Groot, Tom Dillon, Andy Neuman will compete in the Legends category. Sometimes Bobby Martinez competes, but, unfortunately, not this year. The Germlins Under 12 can be especially fun on big surf days. These mighty mites are fearless corks on the sea.
