9'6 longboard in a berlingo car?

Hey Guys

Random question but anyone got any experience of getting a 9'6 longboard in a berlingo/partner (2004 shape)? I just measured from the footwell to the top rear of the car passenger seat down) and was getting just over that by a few inches but wondering if I'm missing something. I guess the fins would potentially have to come off? Cheers.

Roof racks to,the side rails? Or a real need to lock it inside?

Didn't have roof rails at the time. Update is yes, it just fits inside with no passenger.
