I have done it bodysurfing and paipo boarding
So what is worse.... dying or regretting it for the rest of my life? Obviously I chose not regretting it.

I flopped down on my board a lot when I was starting out in white water. It wrecked my ribs. I couldn't surf for about 2 months. So I recommend practicing that move with a little finesse when you get down into prone position. Personally, the longboard move I want to do--I think I might actually be the first to come up with this move. That means I get to name it so I'm calling it the Miyagi. It looks like this.

(Miyagi longboard move at 1:35)

Now I just have to learn to pull it off on my longboard.

Work up to it slowly...starting with Chan's "jack knife."

The rollo is not a good move for me!
* I hate getting flushed and do some of my best surfing in a desperate attempt to stay dry.
* My favorite break is called The Patch for all the rocks lurking just below the surface; so rolling for close encounters with my head is no bueno.
* I sorta pulled one off after I went backside right on a left breaking wave and got smacked to the deck. :bang:
