About to take up shortboarding

Postby babyboarder89 » Sun Sep 18, 2005 6:43 pm

hello there shortbaorders, this here is a part of the forum ive not been on much but since my surf trip to france when i tried a bit pf shortboarding ive decided its time to broaden my spectrum a bit and step into the world of the wild arm wavers.
so heres the question, wh9ile in biarritz i rode (and LOVED) a about 6' board, with a little step around the tail, wide in the centre with thin tail. quite sharp rails i think but easy enough to paddle, so what should i get to ride here, i have a neil perrow sparrow tail 5'9" but i think its a bit thin for me at the mo, also, the wave shere are a darn sight less powerfull than in france, so... longer? wider? thicker? i allready longboard competently (i think) and can do an "off the lip" type manouver on a shortboard. ta in advance for yer time and not driving me kicking anmd screaming from the shortbaord forum.
