Postby Jezza55 » Wed Feb 14, 2018 10:46 am

Hi
I have a c1970's vintage 7ft Tris surfboard with a large green crab like design on the bottom. I have it on eBay to sell and have had a number of enquiries about the board. Can anyone on this forum tell me anything about it before it is sold I have photos I can post to help.

Google Tris Surfboards, the board is good board and is in fair condition for its age, , single fin glassed on ,.

Out of Porthtowan, why not talk to the surfshop, there!

Thanks , have rung Tris boards in Porthtowan but no reply. Have left a message with the local shop. Apparently the dad who used to shape boards is still there. So hopefully he will be in contact

Have heard from Tris - They said the board dates between 1973 to1975. Shaper Tris Cokes, glassing and pinlines, Johnny Manetta, with a classic Neil Wernham spray job, which most probably came from his love of Roger Deans artwork and which featured on albums by Osibisa a 1970s British Afrobeat band, along with a dash of lysergic acid. The picture is from Neil's sketch book.
So thanks. The board is on eBay - auction closes Tues Feb 20
