Favourite surfers (and why?)

I'll start.

Mark Occhilupo, for his blistering backside attack:

Asher Pacey and his smooth frontside on twin fins: http://stabmag.com/stabcinema/besides-e ... her-pacey/
Andy Irons raw aggression:

Probably my favorite surfer is John Florence
. I just enjoy his style and amazing feats of athleticism. You never know what he is going to do but he seems to know exactly what the wave is going to do. And occasionally he pulls off stuff that makes me wonder how he managed to do that. I mean I watch surfers doing maneuvers and think maybe one day if it's the right wave and I do everything right maybe I can do that but John does stuff that I am sure there is absolutely no way I could ever do that.
So what is worse.... dying or regretting it for the rest of my life? Obviously I chose not regretting it.

I like JOB because he is a wild and crazy guy. Also he has fantastic wiping out skills. He knows how to stay safe while wiping out at many scary breaks like Pipeline and Waimea shorebreak

I like surfers who bring back surfing to what it basically is: having fun riding waves. Surfers that are friendly, easy to smile and open for a chat, and respect other surfers and try to apply proper etiquette and patience, so everybody can have their share of waves.

That goes for pro's and beginners.

I like videos with free surfers Rob Machado, Devon Howard and Dave Rastovich. They seem to be in tune with their waves and surf them rather than trying to dissect them like competition surfers do.

I like watching these guys. There's been some good surfing in SoCal.

I like John John a lot as well.

I think longboards are beautiful and really love Tommy Witt. I follow him on Instagram and he's got the most amazing videos of him smiling and just having fun out there. Looks like a cool guy to know.

C'mon guys, there's only one called the G.O.A.T. The one that taken on the challenge of three generations of competitors and still beating them. Probably the greatest sports person of all time, surpassing even the likes of MJ, Tiger, Ali, Messi, Lance Armstrong ( okay, scratch the last one ). Won the Eddie, won the Pipe and yet learned to stand up on a bodyboard in Florida.
Sad thing is when you're sooo good, you're expected to do more and thus get under scored. Like this 4.17 score.

Yeah Slater is great but he didn't get points for falling off the board. I like Slater too because he has incredible talent as well as wave knowledge and quick reflexes or he wouldn't have been able to do what he did there. I like a lot of surfers.
