One of the best breaks on phillip island, check this surf report pic, looks awesome. and it says too big for the banks. no way

hey mate
i used to surf there all time and it is awesome. this year they moved bells to there because it picks up so much swell. Uusally if bells is 6feet then woolamai is 10 feet. One of the most consistent waves anywhere. it is actually on an island that can handle wind from any direction - its always offshore somewhere and there is always swell.

yes some of my best surfing has been at Woolamai. And Ive travelled nearly all the breaks from Melbourne to Burleigh Heads so Ive had a few to compare. For the novice though be warned... Woolamai can be a beautiful beachbreak but on dark days it is not for the faint hearted. As well as the best waves it also has some of the worst rips. A few of my mates have been in serious trouble there

This picture seems to update daily... so it doesnt always look awesome, but yeah phillip island is like the mecca of surfing in victoria.. but compared to other states, it sucks
