Need a board in the Vic: Torquay/Geelong area next week

Postby nli10me » Thu Apr 06, 2017 3:39 pm

Hi!

I have a week long trip planned between Torqay, Vic Australia and Otway National Park. I need to acquire a reasonable shorty, fish, or funboard (less than 7 feet please) for the trip. I am interested in good used board shops, shops with good rentals, or individuals selling boards in the area. I want to acquire the board on Monday, 4/10 - that must be the day.

Know of any shops, or people selling?

Gratefully,
G

Heaps of board shops in Torqay Victoria, browse till you find what you want! you will find something suitable !
It is thesurf shop capital of Victoria
While you are ther check out the surf museum, go and see the pros at Bells Beach the competition is on then.

Enjoy sharing the school holiday surf scene...

I had forgotten about your earlier posts about Bells you asked about the roads, the Great Ocean Road is a windy challenging road and there are many surf coves and beaches around each corner so you will find something Beyond Bells there are waves as good and powerful.
BTW visit Tower Hill go inside an extinct volcano's crater, koalas wandering around.
Enjoy

Hey Mate, the Anglesea Surf Centre is the go. Anglesea town ship is about 15mins past the Bells turn off, on the Great Ocean Road.
The surfshop has new and second had boards at all different prices, shorties, mals, guns and others. Pretty much anyone who is looking to sell a board second hand in the area will sell it here, from pros to average joes. Bruce has a bunch of collectables strapped to the ceiling also, so worth a look for any surfing tourist. enjoy.

Thanks guys, that's super helpful; I'm getting pretty stoked for my trip! I'll post some pics when I get back. Hopefully I'll get shacked and kidnap a koala bear.
