Hi.....decided to edit this to not hurt anyone's feelings :D

for those who did get to read this though - problem solved. i confessed that i didn't feel comfortable with such a large board on my itty-bitty car at hwy speeds, and she understood. (i just hate beinng the bad guy)

Ok here's the plan....

Next time you are picking her up or whatever, get an olb board bag or thick black binliner. Next stuff some pillows into a roughly human form and place them in the old board bag or binliners. Put in bags of flour or something to make it up to human weight and then tie some rocks to the outside. Put it in the backseat, preferably next to your fried. The night before you meet her you should put on lots of make up and sleep with it on. The next morning when you wake up with dragged through the hedge backwards hair and panda eye make up DO NOT brush your hair or remove the makeup. Some streaks of fake blood might go down well too. When you meet her act distracted and twitch alot. When she asks what the board bag in the back seat is all about scream at her its none of her business and if poss break into a sweat. Drive her as normal to the beach, mainting the twitching and sweating, if a police car is spotted if possible swerve away and change direction if not open your eyes very wide and increase levels of twitching and sweating. Somewhere along the way on the coast road, drive to a secluded spot and throw said boardbag into the sea. Que hysterical laughter, crying and twitching. Then drive to the surf and surf together. I think you will find her enthusiasm to share a car with you may 'die down' after this experience 8)

Just tell her flat out that you can't afford to subsidize her surfing.

It's your gas, your car, your space.

She needs to come to the realization that she needs to pay her own way. She can't expect someone else (you) to pay the freight for her surfing life.

It's YOUR car, your gas . . . You could just plain stop dropping by to pick her up. Or if she comes to your house, just be up front and tell her you can't afford to take her surfing.

Maybe some hurt feelings. But you're getting hurt with what's going on now.
