I can't find a wet suit that fits

Postby Ishanator » Fri Mar 31, 2017 4:49 am

I am 16, 5'10 and i weigh only 105 pounds. I have searched very hard for a wet suit that will fit and i cant find anything. I am very new to surfing; I started surfing last summer but stopped after winter started because my wet suit didn't fit and i haven't surfed since. If anyone who reads this and knows where i can find wet suits for very skinny people please let me know. Thank you for reading.

If there is a surf shop nearby, go and try, on youth wetsuits or talk to them and see what is available......... the more you surf the more your chest and shoulders will fill out into a wetsuit.
Good luck, don't assume sizes are the same in all brands some will be a better fit than others.

I think you will struggle a bit, you are in your prime teen upward not outward growth period (I was 6ft and 115lb at your age). Good thing is that you might be able to eat whatever you want for most of your life, which is much better than a well fitting wetsuit

Best you can do is try on wetsuits as jaffa suggested. Look for a ST (small tall) or a size 16. As jaffa says, different brands fit differently - xcel might be one to look at- it's size 16 looks about right

It will end up a bit more expensive, but you can find shops that will make a custom tailored wetsuit.
