A few updates from me- finally out of the moonboot (

There was a 26cm flexability difference between my left and right archillies tendons when I came out of the boot so there's a long way to go, but have gained about 6cm back in the last 2 weeks with exercises, and start physio again next week.
The physio said I could surf in August (

Update 2: Prior to seeing the physio, I took my inflatable 9'10 paddleboard for several spins in early Jan (still wearing the moonboot with all the heel raises in it)

The physio sternly told me that it would not be acceptable to try and paddleboard in a moonboot when I asked him (he didn't know I'd already done it).
Update 3:
While having lots of time on my hands to not spend in the water, I came across this deal for a resin8 6'4 mini gun. After lots of research and thinking, I thought it would make the perfect addition to my quiver as I didn't have a proper shortboard or step up from my new 5'9 and 6'6 fish. I opted to get the 6'4 x 18 1/4 x 2 1/2 model. It's interesting to see the dimensions as the nose are nearly 3" more narrow and even the tail is 1.5" more narrow- so a proper step. The interesting thing to note is that the front rocker is actually the same as my 5'9 but that the back rocker is about 8mm more.
I used to love my 6'3 step up but that was 19.5 wide and a bit much volume for me to duckdive on big days.
Although I wont be able to use this for several months, I'm excited to have it in my quiver for our west coast when it's often steep and heavy.
It's $300 brand new and apparenrly good construction.
It's shaped by wade tokoro who apparently is well known in Hawaii?
