The final news, I now await blood test, PSA in a week to see if I get a zero reading
If that and a next one after that is clear then I am most likely cancer clear.
If not radiation and I think I choose the spiderman type of radiation. or maybe the silver surfer,. Marvellous!

The heart issues are pretty much resolved and I will begin a specifically designed return to surf program ASAP. Small progressive baby steps.
I still intend to be obnoxiously opinionated in the forum and continue troll whacking.

Well wipe,me out with an eleven foot shorebreak!

Radiation has been recommended even with a zero PSA score, I think I'm OK with that, BUT it involves a daily zap for eight weeks............ 8 weeks now stretching the non surf period to beyond Easter, match fitness will be severely down as exercise may be limited. I will be working with an exercise physiologist to design something to help.

Please expect me to be jealous and scathing should any of you wilfully neglect your opportunities to surf!



BTW I am sharing this journey more for your health awareness, particularly our Kahuna class elders.
Why because I wish to continue surfing with you antiques!

They know what they are doing, and 8 weeks will come and go before you know it. Then there will be plenty of time to get back into shape.

It is always an interesting test , to have to take your own medicine.
Chiropractor retires becomes patient!
I would recommend a course of illness early in anyone's medical career , teaches being humble and respectful.
Each surf is now very precious!

So sorry to hear that, Uncle Jaffa. At least you seem to be in good hands where drs are really focused on your health.

One of my supervisors was diagnosed with breast cancer about a year ago. She had a surgery followed by 8 weeks of chemo due to the biopsy results which she finished around early June of this year. She had the usual side effects of chemo, extreme fatigue, nausea and all. By the end of July she was swinging a sledgehammer to demo her bathroom for a remodeling project.

Not doing another bathroom at the end of it all, did that in February.
