Surfing trip in march/april

Hey im about to make a surfing trip around march/april. If some one can help me ill be glad.
Im a advance begginer.
I want to surf somewhere around California
Im looking for waves around 0.8-1.5 m
And long waves .
If some one can help me in picking a place its great! Ah its important. - warm place.

?) What is an "advance beginner" in your part of the world ?A Japan beginner is way different than a Hawaii beginner. Do you just go straight in the whitewater, then turn ? Can you go backside ?
??) California is a BIG place. But I would think Southern California is warmer. Maybe SanDiego county.
???) So about chest to head high waves ? What size and type of break do you normally surf.
????) Longwaves ? So like a pointbreak ? Then what type of board do you normally ride ? Longboard, Shortboard, Spongeboard ?
?????) Warm place ? I think March in Cali, you'll still need a wetsuit.
