New board doubt

Postby landerpa » Fri Sep 30, 2016 11:07 pm

I recently purchased the puddle jumper by lost surfboards with libtech technology, on the board i have a sticker on it saying "no bigggie: left rail near nose".

What does that mean? Should i be concerned?

???? Sticker near right rail????
Did you look at the left rail near nose before you bought it?
Did you think to ask what that meant before you bought it?

It's probably something as simple as a slight imperfection on the top coat. Like a burn left during sanding. Or as bad as bump during the manufacturing process that has no effect on performance. So if you can't find it, then it's NO BIGGIE. Always check the whole board BEFORE you buy it at your local surf shop. If you didn't get to visual inspect it before hand because you bought it on the internet, then next time you'll learn not to buy from a local shop. If it was a "B" grade board selling for "A" grade price, I would say something though.

Sorry, should say " then next time you'll learn to buy from a local shop ". Support your local surf shop.

i know the term. but sometimes no biggie is biggie. there are things you dont see. at least the seller was honest and he even mentions where the small flaw is. with skateboarding they tend to use the word without mentioning what the flaw is. like a broken middle plex wood. u dont visually see cause its the middle plex of the multiplex maple wood. now imagine if you have stuff like that with the foam inside and it just may be a bigger gap then you can imagine.

but hey dont sweat im just giving worst case scenario.

waikiki is probably right. the good thing is you can always come back to your local shop. but internet is a bad thing. i got scammed once. and please just respect the fool me once shame on you fool me twice...... u know the word. have fun with the board and in the future buy only from your local shop or official dealer online. bluetomatoe is a good one. im sure some here can forward you. even on this forum there is a shopping section. and their local brand is actually pretty cheap.

Thanks everyone for the quick reply! I actually did buy it at a local store but they had it in stock so they sent it in, got it delivered home. I can complain if necessary but if its going to have no issue with performance im sweet.
