may allah preserve and heal you and may the doctors help you good enough to do at least the normal.
meanwhile i can understand your needs in this sport. do you have any alternative like oldie is allready trying a kneeboarding thing. wouldnt that be more an inbetween thing untill you van surf standing again? or is it so damaged that the only way is to be doing nothing and revalidate.

look man i wish only the best.

Bloody whatever, that is bad news. Thee tear of the tear, back to surgery, moon boots and repeating the rehab procedure .

I have to put up my hand for the sick list, ive just been diagnosed with prostate cancer. I am on the merrygoround of work at what level and what sort of medical intervention is needed.......... No chiropractic adjustments for this one.
But hey I can still good surfing and that is great! If I couldn't go surfing hmmmmmmm, might be unbearable!

me 2 times hemeroid and a prostate onsteking. whatever ontsteking means in english. but according to the doctor i have a high chance of prostate cancer. thank god it has been a clear one and half year now. my wife gives me healthy food and i try not to get insomniatic lifestyle.
i know the nephew of my grandfather had that prostate cancer to. hopefully it isnt in the genetics.

i always try to look how come. i married a western woman. and she gave me western food. and before it was always olive oil and curcuma. but you know benelux LOL potatoes salt n pepper some jus on it. it caused me to be constipating. now im on an alltime olive oil breakfast.
black olives soaked in olive oil and bread. gotta say it works like a charm.

i wish you the best. first and foremost that you heal completely. and if not then at least i hope it doesnt spread out
amen on that guys

Best and strongest wishes for Jaffa.
Happy to know Dream Surf has his situation under control.

Uncle Jaffa, I'm sorry to hear that. Hope you are in good hands for speedy recovery.

DreamSurf, western food can be low in fiber and overall has a potential to become unhealthy. compared to ethnic food from around the world. Great that you have your health restored.

Benj, hope your surgery went well.

Out of the op and best smile I could muster up!

Lot of pain despite huge amount of pain killers.
Apparently the op took 2hes when they said it would take 30mins so it's probably not a good
Sign. I think they spoke to
Taking muscle or
Tendon fibres from other parts of my calf to help wrap the broken tensor tendon together.

Yo Jaffa, I think when we are both all clear in a bout a year, we should hit up Bali for a trip together to celebrate

Put yourself into their shoes and it was probably a good thing.....no shortcuts for this and the operating doctor decided to err on the side of caution and reinforced the repair beyond standard estimates......be positive!

On a casualty down note, a friend of a friend was the centre of discussion at last night's cocktail party.....apparently took one one the head paddling out in relatively shallow low tide conditions, was bounced off the reef and broke 11 (yes 11!!!) ribs with the cracking point about a hands width from his spine all the way down his back.....along with some superficial and not so superficial cuts sustained in the impact he nearly drown but managed to catch one on his belly and ride out of the impact zone.

Be safe and take the time to eat properly to assist the process....God knows you have enough time on your hands to research it! :)

Wow! That is
Horrible, definitely the reason reefs scare me!

It would be awesome to do a little surfing waves get together and meet everyone in person for some waves in Bali

Thanks for the wishes on my behalf and happy to share all the goodwill around.
Benjl if it takes that long the the job is likely to be well done. NZed Doctors are world class.
As for the YO when we are healed trip, sounds like a plan.
The bounced busted ribs guy must be pretty sore 11 those underwater Mack trucks do it every time.
Lucky no punctured lungs!
Me, I posted my path as a hanging point for older surfers ailments.
The news being next consultation late October , all tests and stuff show I can delay that long.
Using acupuncture and Chi Gong Chinese/Taoist exercises to harmonise my body .
Bone marrow cleansing techniques. it changes emphasis daily but it is settling and I will be a lot fitter at the end of the journey!
Been concreting my drive so my wife and I can have wheel chair races around the garage
As Spock said " Live long and Prosper!" :D
For everyone

Lucky for Jaffa he is an old man. Most often in old men prostate cancer is a very slow process maybe not even requiring treatment since it is likely you will die from something else before the prostate cancer kills you. Sometimes it can be aggressive but from the sounds of it he has a less aggressive type. My brother in law has a more aggressive type and is taking female hormones and radiation.
So what is worse.... dying or regretting it for the rest of my life? Obviously I chose not regretting it.

True that Oldman from an old man, mine is aggressive enough/ that surgery will be warranted ( as usual,Jaffa is outside the norm ) .
However it is contained so op and then maybe radiation! Glow in the dark Jaffa.

Realistic note , the younger you are when prostate problems occur , if cancer then it is more likely to be aggressive.

Reasons for check, unusual frequency of urination, feeling like incomplete urination, blood in urine .
Often problems are benign and barely noticeable .

It is an area where there is lots of debate , read up to be informed. :D

Well the first 2 week check is done and finally got to see the wound, more stitches than I'd anticipated!

They've now put me in this weird cast with s built in metal rod and rubbe leg at the bottom. Never seen something like this in all my Archillies research!
I'm only allowed to put 10kg of weight on it so it's rather a hindrance as I also can't fit any trowsers past it.. Think of going to corporate meetings in shorts?!
Completely different course of treatment to the firs time!

A 20yr old girl had a similar scenario in the bed next to me but she was allowed to put full weight on it due to not breaking her Archillies twice :(
