Surfing France in October

Hey,
I'm going to Biarritz and Hossegor France in October for the first time. Im going with a friend is a beginner and Ive been surfing for about two years. If I can get information on the area like where to stay (hostels, hotels, air bnb on the cheap), what to do when not surfing, best surf shops. I'm prob not bringing my boards BC I think this two week trip will be cheaper and a less of a hassle without. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
