Depends on what the foam is made of. Not sure what brand board you have but I have a 9ft Softtop from Ron Jon's very similar to the wavestorm boards. I use hot glue on it now. I have tried many things, suncure is great, wont eat the foam but looks funny to have a hard shiny fiberglass spot on your foam board. Also suncure came out after a few times taking it out. So far the only thing that has held perfectly is hot glue. Go get a mini hot glue gun from walmart or wherever and get a few bags of glue sticks, cheapest ones you find will work. Just fill it in and seal it. I used hot glue to hold my nose together cuz I took a dive the other week and snapped a 2ft section off, well all but the bottom hard plastic lol. Anyways the hot glue held that back on for a few rides, today I just took a saw to it though reshaped it and sprayed it with that can foam spray then sanded it made it look a lil better. Took it out and floats great, Im gonna add a layer of hot glue just incase though, maybe put a piece of fabric on it.
But either way you choose to do it is up to you, most softtops have EPS foam in them. If you still aren't sure call any shop and ask them what foam is in your *name and model of board* and they will tell you. Seriously though try the hot glue first, if you dont like it then go buy something at your local shop.
