Halo 9 or 9.5" single fin?

Postby monsterzdadi » Tue Jun 21, 2016 8:03 am

I have an 8 x 23.5 x 3.5 fun board.

Tapered or beveled bottom rails and winged swallow tail.

2 + 1 setup

Wanted to use as a single.

Any thoughts?

If I went 2+1 I would have to buy halo 4 1/8 side bites and maybe a halo 7" or so.

To save money and still get fun and stable performance i thought I should go single.

The number I always hear is an inch per foot but you might like it longer. All fins are not he same too. Fin design is even more esoteric than board design. Hahahaha not much help yeah I know but others will likely have more opinion
So what is worse.... dying or regretting it for the rest of my life? Obviously I chose not regretting it.

1) Why are you stuck on getting Halo fins ?

2) What is the main reason you want to ride it as a Single

3) Who is the shaper ?

I heard they were really good. Releases easy and maneuverable and fast speed!

Single fins good for cruising and sweeping bottom turns...

The shaped is guy from the North Shore.

His name is Clem Comeu or something like that. This is a R & D board.

Bought of this guy whom the board was custom made for. Don't even know what that means

It means it was a request by the guy for a certain type of shape , which the shaper did for the purchaser. The board now is not a custom board, it is now a secondhand board!.
Whether the custom details suit your surfing??????? It has no meaning in value increase.
Read up and understand the things that various shapes give to a board especially the fins.
