Have so much snot when I surf?

have been surfing for about 8 months and I've noticed that I seem to be the only one in the line up with a nose filled with snot after wiping out. like literally, I feel like I'm almost blowing my nose when I try to get water out of my nostrils. I don't want to be known as that grom who always has snot rockets after catching a wave and/or wiping out. Can anyone relate?

I blast out each nostril after every wave....water, mucus and snot spray out everywhere.........pay closer attention and you'll see everyone does it and don't be so self conscious....

Maybe you have allergies and chronically somewhat congested? Some people (myself included) with allergies/cold/flu/sinus infections use sinus rinse products to flush out all that snot to get better. You are multitasking while surfing If it really embarrasses you, use one of those products at home prior to each surf session so you can flush the snot away in the comfort of your private bathroom

Some days after I am done surfing I will have water pouring out of my nose for hours after every time I bend over

There is a device called a netti pot which is used as a sinus flusher which pours warmed salty water through the sinuses one side to another and out. Can helpful in chronic sinus issues. You just used the ( insert name of ocean) natural method.
If you are squeamish about being snotty in the surf, wait till you have your retained Nasal flood flow forth in a social or business setting Go with the flow happens to all of us! If you see blood or get severe headache see an ENT doctor, especially if your nose has been broken sometime.
BTW, there many a surf video of surf hero pulling off a wave after a ride, doing the close one nostril flush the snot pullout! Cool no finger involved

One time colored water came out of my nostrils a couple of days after the latest session. Alarmed, I googled it to find some mention of brain injury and spinal cord fluid leakage I did get bumped on my head by my board while going through a spin cycle so I wasn't quite ready to laugh it off then. But since I didn't notice any more colored water episode after that time I've figured it was the delayed yet usual flushing.
