How many boards have you broken in your lifetime?
The board is entirely reliable, the system is two halves with carbon fibre cylinders half the larger one is in each section of the board the second carbon fibre cylinder fits the internal diameter of the other and is about half the length of each half so it acts as a stringer.
There is a plastic plate at the joining edge of each half of the board with two lugs to stop rotation around the the central cylinders. The two halves are held and adjusted together by two dog clips clamps on the deck. Very strong and breakage will occur at the cylinders which are replaceable.
The board weight is comparable to a good longboard of similar size and construction is EPS foam and epoxy glassing, perhaps there should be a goretex vent for airline travel , but I have had no problems whatsoever.
There are some parts that you could lose, but the board comes provided with spares.
I would suggest the board be repaired immediately if a ding occurred as it was of the older EPS system which took in water more easily.
As to boards I have broken = many as particularly in my younger days I rode quite big stuff.
mellow now , double overhead is about my maximum. ( depends on quality too).
The last broken board was a light weight performance board I won in a competition.
It got a full width crease from a drop in, in another competition.
The board broke in the smallest surf when I jokingly turtle rolled and came up with two halves
