Right now I work for a sporting goods store. The pay is good and I sell stuff that I have a passion for.

I do a little fishing. Most of it is done from a yak. In the fall/winter I spend most of my free time hunting.

I do that as much as I can, I met a guy in dana point that would go out in a kyak and paddle around for an hour or so, hook a marlin or yellowtail or something, then get towed around for a few more hours, get a few more miles offshore, then paddled back in.

This blew me away, after fighting a big fish like that I have no where near the energy to paddle a few miles back in...

gulfsurfer you should try flyfishing for reds, It's awesome fighting one on a fly rod.

Ya, ive caught a few fish on fly rods b4, but i dont own any fly tackle, it was alot of fun though.

I fish from a kayak alot, when my uncle and i go to matagorda we always take kayaks with us and paddle out about 10 miles offshore. Its fun and all, but if something happens its a long ways to shore. I love hooking on to something big though, getting pulled all over the place. But when you see a 11 foot shadow that keeps circling the kayaks, it kinda starts to suck when you remember you gotta paddle 10 miles or more back to the beach with that big xxxxx of a shark following your stringer.

That was my plan for a while too!! But then i realised I don't like people enough, and i'm not very good with my hands so things like stitching people....lets just say i would be more of a hazard than a help. Right i'm still confusled, in my 3rd year of an ecology degree, after this masters, PhD or law degree???? Whatever it is it will be in New Zealand. And i'm thinking law degree at the moment. Anyone got a law degree or busy doing one?? Advice needed!! Oh and i'd want to specialise in Environmental Law.

Was studying towards a Veterinary degree but got side tracked.
Ended up doing an Information Technology degree.
Been an application/.Net developer for the past couple years.
Pays well if you have the experience and if you are prepared to relocate....
(and in some cases if you are the right colour...nuff said)
