Carver or Smoothstar.
You'll probably find me surfing, but if not, I'll probably be in the photography studio

One of the great features of Surfing Waves is the SEARCH BOX on the first screen you see after logging in. Use it to find information from years of discussions by surfers and skaters. Here is a link to a thread comparing Carver skateboards with Smoothstar. :)

I have an Atom surf skate (cheapest surf skateboard with surf-skate trucks: http://www.skatesonhaight.com/MBS-Atom- ... atomss.htm) and a cheap penny board clone - small plastic skateboard, 25 dollars: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B019C ... UTF8&psc=1

I use both as surfing simulators. I got the penny so I can actually cruise, I can't push the surf skate and pumping gets tiring pretty fast. Riding the penny board, I try to stomp on my backfoot and use a lot of arms when turning. It doesn't carve like the surf skateboard, but it's still useful to practice the same motions as on a surfboard.

Save your time and money on the fake/cheap stuff and get a Carver. Need I say "Made in the USA" for those against Chinese import stuff. That board really helped my cutbacks and my go to activity when there's no surf. After learning how to use it, your next surf will be totally different. ( and you won't like riding "normal" skateboards anymore )

fast forward to 1:00

So after much thought I got three options of skateboards and I need a consultation. Which one should I buy?

2. http://smoothstar.com.au/shop/32-flying ... fish-blue/

The Carver 28" Snapper in my opinion is too small. I like my Mini-Simons the best, which has a wide square area up front to really plant your foot. Proteus looks good too.

Don't go with the Surf Skate.
