I'm finding it's really simple . . .

I have a gas grill, portable, 10" X 18" --

And so I have a cast iron pot that fits under the grill cover, toss in some "Chinese veggies" (broccoli, carrots, onions, snap peas, water chestnuts -- frozen in a package, and a pack of "peppers" green, yellow, red. And some "stew beef" -- cheep. (Braise the beef, then add veggies.)

A bit of soy sauce for salt, dash of salsa for "heat" and some ale . . . ale don't need a reason (but it's for keeping the pot from scorching. Garlic, Tabasco -- to taste.

Pretty simple "potage" . . . with an ale, in a beach chair, a bit of sand, some sun-burned skin . . .

Heaven.
