RIP Rabbit Kekai

Postby waikikikichan » Fri May 13, 2016 10:26 pm

Waikiki Beach Boy Legend Rabbit Kekai passed away peacefully this morning.

I will always remember him at my very first contest 20+ years ago. He yelled at me "Hey !!". I was scared and not knowing what to do in the contest area and here some guy is yelling at me. He then tossed me a bar of wax and smiled. I knew I would be okay from then on.

Aloha Uncle Rabbit. Sayonara Usagi-san.

RIP Rabbit Kekai. A big name in the surfing community
So what is worse.... dying or regretting it for the rest of my life? Obviously I chose not regretting it.

Aloha Uncle Rabbit!
I've taken up troll hunting just for fun, instead of a rifle I'll just use a pun! 冲浪爷爷

While disappointing to see an iconic surfer pass away, at age 95 he revered for high-performance surfing and longevity.
