Shaper time is different to everyone else's... particularly if you're waiting for a board!

I just rang the shaper and he said that one of his team had 'gone fishing' during the week. He said it will be finished off tonight!

Translation is the shaper tried out your board and either liked it so made you another board or didn't and has to sand it and resin it to cover up some minor pressure dings..........or the surf was up and no one was around to work on your board

I've never had a custom before or knew about any of this stuff!!
Kind of entertaining to hear of everyone's stories with shapers!

Our swell is due to be massive here on the west coat in the weekend (4m) so might have to try it on our each coast (1m). Guess it'll be a test to see if it grovels in 1.5ft stuff!

I'm joking of course. The swell will also be hitting up here in the far north, although at the moment the wind isn't looking great. But fingers crossed for a morning session.

It's pumping up here today! Luckily I have numerous pointbreaks available to refine the swell a bit. Hopefully that wind stays off for the rest of the day.

wow, looks wider than 19 whatever inches. The thickness outline looks good - just where you need it. About a foot too small for me, but it does look nice.

the downside - now you can only blame yourself, not your tools

Yeah it does look wider than 19 3/8, I'll try take a pic of it alongside my 6'1 board that is 19" and see how they look. It does feel nice under the arm and definitely has a lot more rocker than the standard hypto model
