Gidday Crew,

Guess I'm the new kid on the block here and from West Australia. I'm 46 Ride a 9'1" Mal that just goes off. My preference is for waves 6-10 ft face, they're just plain fun any bigger and it gets a little heavy depending on where I'm surfing. Look forward to interacting with you Seppo's here on the forums.

Cheers
Greg

I got a board a week ago today -- 9' 4" Modern, which is a "pop out" from Thailand. Decent shape, 23" wide, 3.25" fat. Lazer formed triple stringer. It's a nice board.

So far, I've been catching waves and riding in on my belly, on the board. 6' nominal waves, Oregon north coast.

I keep promising that "tomorrow I stand" -- but I'm having a good time, and cooking off the tailgate, next to the beach. Grill, cooler, beach chairs, a mat for naps in the truck . . .

Thanks for the welcome :D Wave junkie sound like you've got it wired mate. Cooking off the tail gate etc...makes you wonder what the peasants are doing.

Thank you Libby, my ego is suitably stroked now and I'm stoked you like the pic

Keep plugging away with that fun board and you'll be as good as anyone and totally addicted to a lifestyle that's truly the source 8)

No worries Surf Patrol got some more if you want 'em.

Cheers

Yes, cooking off the back of the truck. And you must remember, it's late summer here in August! It beats having to pack up and head somewhere for food when I'm hungry. Besides, most days on the beach it turns into a group beach party. Summer on the beach!

Still -- water temp. is 52F, most days, winter/summer. We get a current coming down from Alaska. Full wet suit, 5/3 mil. boots, gloves, hood.
