Surf trip February/March/April! Where to go?

Hey Guys!

I have about 8-10 weeks off, from February to the middle of April and would like to use the time to go on a surf trip with a friend.
Our surf levels are somewhat intermediate, we're working on doing sharper turns, especially practising the top turn and cut backs at the moment.
Do you have any ideas or recommendations where we could go?
Due to a quiet low traveling budget of around 2500€, I was thinking of something like South East Asia, Indian Ocean or Indo. But I'm definitely open for other destinations as long as it's cheap!
I especially liked Sri Lanka, but im not sure weather it is the right time to go there, could anyone tell me?
Other than that I could imagine going to the Maldives or Seychelles, but I guess only for 1-2 weeks as its really expensive over there right?
Anyway, as I would be really happy if you can recommend anything or tell me your experiences!

Feb / March / April is fall in the southern hemisphere. The 2.5k is per person or for both of you?

Get off the beaten path and surf Iceland. When you're not surfing your ass off on crowd-less point breaks, you can check out the doomsday volcanoes all over the country.

Simeulue Island on Sumatra... February March April on the swell magnet. Jackals. good time of the year no crowds not massive ... 1 hour flight from Medan-Simeulue.. Get a 2 month visa from an Indo embassy or consulate... do an extension for visa to Penang.
