It's great fun on days when the conditions are iffy or when I can no longer paddle. The wetsuit stays on so I don't get "strawberries."

I understand completely.When the wave is too big (most of them really) I jump off or dive forward. The worst part is listening to comments from folks on the beach! Here's a wipeout video just for fun.
